Any camera will record what you see... but YOU have to see!

Alcohol, gambling and women - all affordable pursuits...but I had to choose photography.

Photography is no more about cameras, than mathematics is about calculators.

Beginners worry about cost... Amateurs worry about equipment...
Professionals worry about light.

The word "image" comes from the word "imagination."
It doesn't come from "lens sharpness" or "noise levels."

A Photograph is a picture painted by the sun without instruction in art.

You don't take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it.

Photographers spend years trying to capture moments that added together, don't even amount to a couple of hours.

A photograph is usually looked at - seldom looked into.

There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer.

There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.

Buying a Nikon doesn't make you a photographer. It makes you a Nikon owner.

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera.
